In A World Of Hate

In a world full of hate

Why do we choose to create more?

We use hateful terms

And degrading words

To make others feel like they are less than what they are

We are told that different isn’t bad

But yet we still act like it is….

Because of this different tries to fit in

But quickly learns that it can’t, and never will

So it accepts this fact and continues to live life

Until we come along again

With our Hateful and degrading words

Making new ones as we go

But something is wrong

This time Different deflects them

The words bounce off of it

Like sparks flying off of a sparkler

We came harder and faster

But the faster and the harder we came

The faster and further the words flew

Until eventually they hit us in our own faces

Crashing our worlds and replacing it

With the hell that we had created….

Different looked at us with eyes full of pity

Because it knew how it felt,

To be scared,

To be alone,

To feel like no one understands,

And that you will never surpass this place

That takes a toll on your life

But lets them stay there

To fight the battle that it once had to fight

Hoping that it will teach them the lesson that it learned;

It doesn’t matter what anyone says, think, or does,

Because in the end,

Everyone is one in the same,

Because they are all Different.
