Background on Charmed(1998):

Charmed (1998) was the story of three sisters who lived with their Grandmother (Jennifer Rhodes) until she unexpectedly die. They came to know about their powers and their destiney after their sister Phoebe came back to live with them after moving to New York not long after their Grams died.The sisters Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), and later on Paige (Rose McGowan) where the stars of the show. Together they fought evil while trying to lead “normal” lives. Later on in the series would come Leo (Brian Krause), Cole (Julian McMahon), Darryl (Dorian Gregory), Andy (Ted King), Chris (Drew Fuller). Wyatt (Wes Ramsey), Bille (Kaley Cuoco), and many more co-stars of the show.

Background on Charmed(2018):

Charmed (2018) is the story of three sisters (Mel, Madison, and Macy) who come to the knowing of their powers after their mother mysteriously dies. In the beginning of the show there are only two sisters as far as the sisters themselves know of but after the death of their mother Macy shows up saying that she believes that she is Mel’s and Madison’s long lost sister. The show stars Melonie Diaz (Mel Pruitt), Sarah Jeffery (Madison Pruitt), Madeleine Mantock (Macy Vaughn), Rupert Evans (Harry), Ser'Darius Blain (Galvin), and Charles Gillespie (Brian).

A Hard Core Point of View:

I have been watching Charmed for as long as I can remember. My grandmother loved the show, so much that she brought the whole series. As a kid I was into anything supernatural and I still am to this day. That being said I stumbled upon the DVDs and watched them. I've been hooked every since. I have watched them more than any other show or movie ever. I know what is going to happen in every episode by just watching a snippet of it. I am still to this day watching Charmed because it's apart of my childhood and a way to be even closer to my grandmother, but that's not the only reasons why I still continue to watch the show. The show showed me that no matter what you always have to try to be a good person. It also showed me to respect everyone, to look for the good in a person, to think on my feet, to be independent but not so much so that I can’t let anyone else help me out when I’m in need, and a whole lot of other life altering things that I carry with me everyday. Another thing that this show and the people who played in it has done for me was help me make friends. I have made a life long friend because of this show. It's something that we both could spend days just talking about because of how much we love and support this show. This show is IRREPLACEABLE and nothing will ever change that, but after a lot of thinking I have come to the conclusion that the reason behind the reboot of this show isn’t to erase what have already been done but to modernize it. Somethings are better left untouched but it is worth a try to get younger generations interested in it; of course I would hope that they would do research on the show and see that it is a reboot and that they should really go watch the original show. I do hope that they new cast can live up to the expectations that the fans of the original because to us it isn’t just a show. I myself will be tuning in on October 14 to watch the reboot and judge for myself. So keep your eyes open XWorlders because there might be a part 2 to this.
